The Happy Gnome is where you experience craft beer exploration and culinary adventure, together.

For over ten years, The Happy Gnome has pushed forward the craft beer scene, increasing our drafts lines to feature 89 taps. Our tap list is exclusively domestic craft and quality import, rotating through seasonal selections and maintaining some favorites. Promoting craft beer is also fun: every month we feature a different brewery, hosting a beer dinner where the brewer comes out and explains their beers in detail while our chef creates a pairing for each course.

Although our beer selection is enough to have you stop in for a drink, The Happy Gnome’s cuisine will make you return to enjoy another meal. Our focus is on fresh, seasonal selections, and we are committed to supporting local growers. We use local products in our creative menu, which is well-balanced to suit local Midwestern tastes. The Happy Gnome’s chef-driven menu is made in-house daily to achieve the freshest quality possible.

Scotch and Whiskey are also our province. Our current whiskey list has over 250 selections, from rare bourbons and ryes to aged single malts from Scotland and Ireland. Our talented bartenders can also make your favorite martini, or help you select one of our unique craft cocktails. If wine is your drink of choice, we have selections from around the world, including some adventurous grapes, blends and regions you may not have known existed.

We are pleased to offer outdoor dining in the summer on our patio. We do NOT take reservations for the patio, so please just come and enjoy. During winter, the upstairs Firehouse Room is available for additional seating when not reserved for a private event.

The Happy Gnome is locally owned. We enjoy our neighbors and regulars, while welcoming people who have heard of us…or just wonder what you get at a place called The Happy Gnome.

And we still haven’t figured out why we are called The Happy Gnome, but somehow the name stuck and it will continue to be Gnome Sweet Gnome. less
